Flip/Flop February Day 12: Drips AND Matte!

Ya'll!!  It's Day 12 of the Flip/Flop February Challenge hosted by Jillian at Jilltastic Nail Design.  Today's options were Drips or Matte - I chose drips...and then I matted them!  First up, the glossy ones.

I am in such love with these nails.  Up until now, I've been able to wear my designs for this challenge for 2-3 days, but alas, it has caught up with me and I can't wear them long anymore if I'm going to keep up with the challenge!  So, over Saturday and Sunday I did about 6 different designs and this is one of the first ones I did because I thought I was going to hate them!  And they ended up being my favorite ones!!  Bah!  I might have to do this one again for "recreate your favorite day".

I used 2 Color Club mini's for this design.  I got both of them in a past Birchbox.  I'm probably gonna need a full size of these - I love them both.  The orange is Lava Lamp and the blue is Blue-ming.  Lava Lamp is a true neon orange, slightly pinker than some of the other neon oranges I have, but not pink at all.  Definitely orange.  I LOVE neon oranges.  Ok - I love neons period.  Blue-ming is a bright, bright, minty, aqua.  It is borderline neon.  Super fun color.  I love how well these played together!

Here is a  photo of them matte - I used Sephora by OPI Matte Top Coat.  I'm not sure which way I liked them better.  What do ya'll think?

Since I did this over the weekend during the day - I was able to get a couple of sunlight pictures!  I wish I could get these all the time!  Forgot to get glossy sunlight pictures so, these are both matte.  I've actually never worn any nails matte yet, but I think I would totally rock this look matte!  I still like to put Seche Vite on the final design to let them dry fast and then on the matte top coat.

Tomorrow is Watercolor or Sponging - I'll go ahead and tell you, I'm not so thrilled with those as I was with these!
